Our Sleep Labs Serve Patients in Virginia & West Virginia
Valley Health Sleep Centers can be found at all of our hospital locations.
In this fast-paced day and age, sleep seems to be put on the backburner.
While it may seem that more is being accomplished, a lack of sleep can
lead to low levels of work performance, and even health issues! Our sleep
centers have helped hundreds of patients get a good night’s rest
and achieve consistent, restorative sleep schedules.

Bad sleep often takes the form of these conditions:
-
Sleep Apnea – A condition in which breathing is interrupted during sleep for
10-30 seconds at a time. This often occurs repeatedly and can severely
disrupt the patient’s quality of sleep.
-
Restless Leg Syndrome – This condition has been determined a neurological disorder. Its
symptoms include unpleasant leg sensations and the urge to move the legs.
-
Narcolepsy – This condition is a disorder of the nervous system and consists
of involuntary time periods of sleep occurring throughout the day as you
work, drive, or talk.
-
Insomnia – A condition in which the patient has trouble staying asleep or
going to sleep. Some may wake in the middle of the night or in the early morning.
Comprehensive Testing
By increasing public awareness of sleep disorders, we hope to help more
individuals repair their sleep routines and benefit from healthy sleep.
Our sleep centers are designed to provide a comforting environment for
patients coming in to undergo a sleep study. While you are sleeping, our
board-certified technologists will monitor your activity and diagnose
your problem.
Tests such as the following are used to diagnose sleep disorders:
- Polysomnogram
- Continuous Positive Airway Pressure
- Multiple Sleep Latency Test
- Multiple Wakefulness Test
Depending on your diagnosis, Valley Health Sleep Centers offer a variety
of programs designed to get you back on a normal sleep schedule. We even
have a pediatric sleep program for children and a safe driver program
for commercial drivers. Learn more about our programs and services by
