Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center (2006). Certification is based
on the recommendations for primary stroke centers published by the Brain
Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association. This certification
means that Winchester Medical Center's stroke care program follows
national standards and guidelines that can significantly improve outcomes
for stroke patients.

Fellowship
Winchester Medical Center is a teaching site for neurology residents and
offers advanced training in neuroimaging through the Winchester Neuroimaging
Fellowship, in partnership with the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties.
