Cancer Care in the Shenandoah Valley
Encouraging Hope, Healing & Health
The Valley Health Cancer Center at Winchester Medical Center is home to
a nationally accredited cancer program that offers advanced technology,
a team approach to treatment and support for patients and their families.
Opened in 2016, the freestanding Cancer Center brings these elements together
in a welcoming destination for cancer care. The Cancer Center features
expanded treatment areas, easy access to the Diagnostic Center, a conference
room and an enhanced infusion center space overlooking a beautiful lake
and healing garden.
The center also has new technology including two Varian TrueBeam™
Linear Accelerators, an enhanced radiation treatment planning system,
and an oncology-specific electronic medical record system to better manage
the patient’s journey from initial diagnosis through post-treatment
follow-up.
Thanks to the support and generosity of our community, more than $10 million
was raised during a four-year capital campaign to help build the new cancer center.
