East Mountain Health Physicians and Valley Health System held a ceremonial
ribbon cutting today for a new Urgent Care center at 100 Oak Lee Drive
in Fairfax Corner Shopping Center in Ranson, WV. The facility opens for
patients on Wednesday, June 28, at 8 a.m.
Located in a growing retail area of Jefferson County, the 4,800 square
foot Urgent Care has 10 exam rooms and is staffed seven days a week to
treat minor illnesses and injuries on a walk-in basis. Physicians, advanced
practice clinicians and nurses are supported by on-site lab and X-ray
capabilities. Valley Health Urgent Care centers also offer Occupational
Health services, a convenient resource for area employers for workplace
injury management, Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration
and executive physicals, audiometric testing, drug screening and more.
“We’ve been warmly received by Jefferson County and look forward
to serving Eastern Panhandle residents from this new location,”
said Chris Rucker, President of Valley Regional Enterprises and Vice President,
Valley Health. “We know busy families are looking for convenient,
high-quality after-hours care, and employers want to contain healthcare
costs and help their employees get back to work quicker. Our accredited
Urgent Care centers are a great solution.”
Valley Health operates Urgent Care centers in Martinsburg, WV, and Winchester
and Front Royal, VA, and recently collaborated with East Mountain Health
Physicians to open a Valley Health Quick Care at Spring Mills in Falling
Waters, WV. East Mountain Health Physicians is a nonprofit medical corporation
formed in 2014 to help serve the healthcare needs of Eastern Panhandle
residents.
“We are excited, humbled and proud to open this new facility, which
offers convenience and value to Eastern Panhandle residents, including
hundreds of Valley Health employees and their families,” said Valley
Health President and CEO Mark H. Merrill. “We are committed to improving
access to quality health care in West Virginia, through our Urgent Care
and Occupational Health locations.”
The new Oak Lee Drive Urgent Care will be open Monday through Friday, from
8 am to 8 pm; Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm. On-line check-in
