Valley Health Hampshire Memorial Hospital is pleased to welcome family
medicine physician Andy Wilcox, MD, to the staff of its Multispecialty
Clinic on the hospital campus. Dr. Wilcox began seeing patients earlier
this month.
A native of Hampshire County, Dr. Wilcox graduated with honors from West
Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology.
He earned a Doctor of Medicine from West Virginia University School of
Medicine, and completed a residency in family medicine with West Virginia
University Rural Family Medicine Residency Program in Harpers Ferry, WV.
He most recently practiced in Cumberland, MD.
“I’m very excited to be back home, closer to my family and
my wife’s family,” Wilcox said. “I’m especially
pleased to be able to help fill a need for primary care physicians in
my home community.” He and his wife, Sarah, a native of Fort Ashby,
have a three year old daughter, Alauria.
Dr. Wilcox is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is
licensed by the West Virginia and Maryland Boards of Medicine. He is also
a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the West Virginia
State Medical Association and the West Virginia Academy of Family Physicians.
His clinical interests include preventive medicine, sports medicine, adult
medicine and pediatrics.
