East Mountain Health Physicians and Valley Health System broke ground today
for a new Urgent Care center at 100 Oak Lee Drive, next to Panera Bread,
in Ranson, WV. The 4,800 square foot facility is scheduled to open in
the spring of 2017.
Urgent Care is a convenient alternative for the treatment of minor illnesses
and injuries when a patient’s primary care provider is not available.
Like other Valley Health Urgent Care centers in Martinsburg, Winchester
and Front Royal, the Ranson facility will be staffed by physicians, advanced
practice clinicians, and nurses, and will feature on-site lab and X-ray
services, as well as online check-in. Area employers will also find Valley
Health Urgent Care Center to be a trusted partner for Occupational Health
services, both for workplace injury management and Department of Transportation,
Federal Aviation Administration and executive physicals, audiometric testing,
drug screening and more.
“We look forward to serving the healthcare needs of Eastern Panhandle
residents, conveniently and efficiently, from this new Urgent Care center
by next spring,” said Chris Rucker, President of Valley Regional
Enterprises and Vice President, Valley Health. “We know busy families
are looking for convenient, high-quality after-hours care, and employers
want to contain healthcare costs and help their employees get back to
work quicker. We are confident patients and businesses will be well-served
by this new Urgent Care center.”
Partnering with Valley Health on the Ranson Urgent Care center is East
Mountain Health Physicians, a nonprofit medical corporation formed in
2014 to help serve the healthcare needs of Eastern Panhandle residents.
“This new Urgent Care location will offer convenience and value to
Eastern Panhandle residents, including hundreds of our own Valley Health
employees who live here,” noted Valley Health President and CEO
Mark H. Merrill. “Urgent Care is part of a growing family of Valley
Health services in West Virginia, which include state-of-the-art hospitals
and physician practices in Berkeley Springs and Romney; a home health
agency serving Jefferson, Berkeley, and several other counties; and Valley
Medical Transport, with an ambulance station in Kearneysville.”
