Valley Health Urgent Care & Occupational Health cut the ribbon today
on its new 4,700 square foot center in Riverton Commons Shopping Center.
The facility will open for patients at 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 3.
Valley Health Urgent Care has operated in the Warren Memorial Hospital
Outpatient Center on North Commerce Avenue since April 2009. The decision
was made to relocate the facility to the growing retail area on Route
522 North to provide more convenient access for residents and commuters
in need of high quality, walk-in care for minor illness and injury when
they are unable to see their personal physician.
“The new location offers the same services businesses have come
to expect from Valley Health Urgent Care such as on-site lab and x-ray,
pre-employment physicals, immunizations, and workplace injury management,”
says Chris Rucker, MHA, Valley Health Vice President of Ambulatory and
Wellness Services. “Located at a major intersection, surrounded
by business growth, the new site will help us serve Occupational Health
clients more efficiently.”
Urgent Care and Occupational Health are both services that aim to contain
healthcare costs by providing appropriate treatment conveniently, avoiding
the need for more expensive forms of care.
“With its open design, which improves visibility and communication,
our new center is a welcoming, state of the art facility that will enhance
the patient experience for adults and children,” says Valley Health
Urgent Care Director Jake Meza, MBA. “Another convenience that’s
proving popular at all three of our Urgent Cares is online check-in. Patients
who want to “skip the wait” may now check in at www.vhurgentcare.com
and make a reservation.”
In 2015, Front Royal Urgent Care staff treated about 17,000 patients and
saw 5,000 Occupational Health clients. Valley Health also has Urgent Care
centers in Winchester and Martinsburg, WV; all three are certified by
the Urgent Care Association of America.
