These educational events, featuring national experts as well as local clinical
leaders, are open to Valley Health clinicians and those practicing at

Blue Ridge Symposium
This two-day conference, held each year in
October, covers a wide range of respiratory and cardiopulmonary topics through
lectures and breakout labs. The symposium is a valuable educational opportunity
for respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals. The 2019
conference has been cancelled but the 2020 conference will take place
as normal.
Cardiovascular Conference
The Eugene and Betty Casey Cardiovascular Conference, held each year in
April, provides physicians, nurses and technicians with concentrated, comprehensive
information on the latest trends and techniques in the care of heart patients.

Chronic Disease Symposium
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately
half of all adults have one or more chronic health conditions. Held in
early November, this symposium provides physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses
and dietitians with the most current information on the care and management
of patients with chronic disease.

Presented by the Valley Health Neuroscience Center, this symposium provides
those attending the opportunity to learn about the latest developments
on a range of neuroscience topics. Presenters include local and national
experts in the neuroscience field. The Neuroscience Symposium is normally held in
March.
Oncology Symposium
Normally held in
September each year, this full-day conference provides comprehensive and clinically
relevant information to optimize cancer patient care and outcomes.

October each year, this one day conference is presented by Valley Health Rehabilitation Services.
